lmmmffaaaaooooo

That part where Link kills the fairy was pretty much the best thing I've ever seen on Newgrounds. Nice job on the sprite edit when the elevator music's playing too.

'Adolf and the Magic Boots'

'Adolf and the Magic Boots' is a 1987 live-action comedy that is part of the Adolf movie series. It is the 10th movie in the Adolf series, and also the 5th to be direct-to-video. In 2001 it saw a DVD release.

Plot
_________

Adolf is working at his shoe store when he discovers a strange box outside his front door. When he opens the box, he sees an odd pair of boots. When he puts the boots on, he discovers that he can do magical things, such as fly, detect bullies, and produce massive muscles. He uses the boots to solve various troubles throughout his hometown of Albany, NY.

Production History

Alfred 'Underscore' Studley was very worried about the film halfway through production. On a budget of less than $2 million, the film was originally meant as a theatrical release, but due to Alfred's dissapointment in the finished product, he changed it to a video release. The movie sold fantastically; It sold 4 million copies worldwide in 1987, and has sold over 10 million since (as of 2004). Alfred was surprised by the film's massive appeal, stating in interviews that he saw the film as "a bore and an absolute piece of shit". Although Alfred has lightened up on his view of the film in recent years, he still states that he "could've done the film so much better" [1].

The movie saw a limited theatrical run in 1989, running for two weeks in seven theatres. It grossed 1.6 million overall.

Trivia
_______

- This is the last Adolf movie to feature Bill Murray as the role of Adolf.
- Early prints of the video feature a misspelling on the back of the box, spelling 'Alfred Studley' as 'Alfred Sudly'. Only about 300,000 copies feature this mistake.
- The movie is referenced in the film 'Jungle 2 Jungle', when Tim Allen's character talks about renting 'Adolf and the Magic Boots' to keep his son entertained for the weekend.
- George Carlin claims that his worst movie role was in this film, where he played Adolf's grandfather, Alburn. "I would've rather eaten my own shit and stuffed my head up a cow's ass than star in that fucking film" he said in the March 2003 issue of Rolling Stone. [citation needed]
- The movie was pulled from shelves for a short while in 2001 because of the scene where Adolf sings about the Twin Towers.
- This is the only Adolf movie that has a rating higher than 20% on RottenTomatoes (37%)

'Adolf and the Eating Contest'

'Adolf and the Eating Contest' was an animated comedy movie released on June 19th, 1994. This is the 25th movie in the Adolf series, which began in 1982. This was the 10th Adolf movie to be a straight-to-video release, and the 6th Adolf movie to see a DVD release in 2000. This is the first animated movie in the series as well.

The movie stars the character Adolf (voiced by Rob Paulsen) as well as voiceovers by Cree Summer, Bill Cosby, and Alice Cooper (voicing himself).

Plot
___________

In this movie, Adolf is joyous to discover an eating contest held in his hometown of Burbank, California. Adolf teams up with Tira (Cree Summer) and Uncle Krazy (Bill Cosby) as he rivals against Alice Cooper and the high school bully Sneezer Whiskerz (voice actor unknown). During the contest, an unfamiliar man who looks similar to Elvis Presley joins in on the contest. When the Elvis lookalike wins, however, Adolf suspects tomfoolery and cheating, as there is no other man on Earth who can 'eat as many cranberry yogurts as he had' [citation needed].
*SPOILER*
The Elvis lookalike is shown to be a Martian, who Adolf kicks in the butt and sends back to his home planet. Adolf wins the contest and goes on a date with Tira.
*END SPOILER HERE*

Critical Response
__________________

The movie received a 'BOMB' rating by Leonard Maltin, who called it "the second worst Adolf movie, right behind 1992's "Adolf and the Fat Penguin Army" '. Many of the jokes were accused of being stolen straight from the movie 'Uncle Buck', such as when Adolf walks in on a teenage couple having sex with a drill in one hand, and another scene where a character mistakes Adolf for having sex with a washing machine. Director Alfred 'Underscore' Studley claims that while he did indeed produce and write the script for Uncle Buck, the two movies 'have absolutely NOTHING, NADA, ZERO in common!'. [1]

Sales
________

While the movie costed over $1 million to make, the overall sales of the movie were slightly less than $2,300. Alfred considers this movie to be the least succesful in his otherwise best-selling series.
