Well, it has it's hits and misses

I didn't like the first STV so much, but I gave this one a chance. Lots of work and improvement this time around (nice tongue-in-cheek intro, too) but I can't say it's *much* better than the first. There were some pretty funny parts, sure, but I ended up pushing the 'skip scene' button a lot. (Thanks for that, btw)

There was still a lot of "sound byte from show/movie synced to animation" scenes going on. Now, there were moments I actually laughed at some of these (the Earthbound/Ferris scene) but for the most part it's just so annoying and seems like filler. It's the same problem I have with Phoenix Wrong flashes. Yes, it's a funny clip, but now [game character] is saying it! Please, stop it. At least the ones with the recorded voices were original.

That's pretty much the only major complaint with the series. It's like I said in the first STV review; It's not *bad* for the most part, I just don't find it funny, or as funny as it could be. It's better than shit like Skittlez and Bitz (do they still make those? probably not) but it could be so much more.

Okay, making this positive, some of my favorite parts:

Earthbound/Ferris
Metal Slug/Videocompiler
Yoshi hit by the rock
Excitebike (the first two parts anyway, it got a bit redundant afterwards)

So yeah. There's my review. How could I review a Flash movie on a beautiful night like this!?

Osuka responds:

Well, we tried to add it some styles of homour, from the most stupid, stupiest, stupidert, and some more intelligent

but that is the joke of the collab, to make a lot of random stuff

Thanks for the review :3

Heh, not bad.

Just a short movie but it was pretty funny. The sound effects during the vomiting scene really made this.

Casualty responds:

Thanks mate! And yeah, I love my own sound effect ideas too.

Hmmm.

Good animation, but I could barely hear what the character said. I caught it on the second time, though. Maybe next time turn the music down so it's easier to hear the voices.

Gate-keeper-girl responds:

Been trying to fix it, so yeah.

I'll get on it right now :U

THanks for the review.

Heil responds:

Remanufacture intro

also change the 'clock day 05' to '2004' in the description and i agree with you

Gavin responds:

awh ye

Okay, this is actually pretty good.

At first I wasn't too sold on it. All the sprites looked ugly smashed together and the robotic voices were grating. Thankfully it picked up better as it got on, the dialouge was funny and it was nice to see some VG-related jokes that were actually new and not cliched. Next time just make sure not to go too overboard with the sprites because it ends up looking pretty messy.

Random-Her03 responds:

thanks alot man
this is one of the most honest reviews i got, i'll make sure of it

have i ever told you

that you're my favorite sprite artist on NG right now

i couldn't stop laughing at the boss names

"FUCK MAMMOTH"

Emanhattan responds:

haha. Hey dude, would you make me some music? Im making this really annoying flash,..... and it requires your 8-bit services!

aw, only two?

I figured you would've had like, 50 hate PMs.

Heil responds:

i have many but those are just the 2 people who blocked me

'Adolf 83'

'Adolf 83' is a video game released in 1983 for the Famicom game system by Nintendo. The game was only available in Japan until 2001, when it was included in the 'Adolf Masterpiece Collection' for the Nintendo 64 in the US. The game was titled 'Adolf in Happyland' in the collection release.

The game has been announced for a Virtual Console release, but no set date has been mentioned. It is also rumored to debut sometime on Gametap. A Game Boy Advance remake was planned and announced at E3 2003, but has since been cancelled.

Story
_______

Adolf is stuck in Happyland, where he must escape from giant rhinos and cavemen. He must also collect as many blueberries as he can find.

Gameplay
_____________

The gameplay is similar to the hit Famicom game 'Donald Land', which was released in 1987, in that Adolf jumps around and does shit i guess/ [citation needed]
Players must collect coins and blueberries in order to rack up points.

Controversy
_____________

Because the movie that the game was set to coincide a release with, "Adolf and the Last Trophy" was never released in Japan, Nintendo almost didn't release the game. It wasn't until Alfred Studley convinced Nintendo to release the game because he felt that Adolf was more popular in Japan than he would ever be in the US.

Adolf's Success
_____________________

Adolf movies, games and merch are huge in Japan, where they've generated over $30 billion in sales, compared to the US' meager $900 million sales.

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

That game was even better than Lode Runner.

Oh my.

I don't really like PW flashes (cause they're usually so generic and void) but man, this Flash totally deserves it. All the reactions just seemed so perfect for the Vent talkers.

As for the desync, it didn't get too bad for me, aside for a couple seconds near the end. My only guess is that maybe some of the frames are off, it's happened to me before too.

BDawgPHD responds:

Yea, the frames aren't off. The compression is shitty, but I can't recycle sound clips since it's all one continuous recording, so it's make an unreasonably big file, or use compression and cause the desync. I tested the file straight from my computer and it desyncs, but my fla file is flawlessly synced. Hopefully my later flashes will deal with music where i can use techniques like that.

some of your pass videos were crap but i liked this one for the space jam song and tha guy dancing but you should made him dance differently because he was not with the beat of the song and you kept makin it recycle through the same dance you could have u
