Super Mario RPG

My review for %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%W

Mario, and Sonic. Two very unlikely characters for one of the most dramatic movies ever submitted to Newgrounds. Hello, my name is MAYORMCHEESE. My following review, may shock... may offend... may even disgust... the fellow review readers here at NG. But, in my heart, I know I must let the truth be told about this masterpiece.

Mario's drug addictions finally caught up to him after all these years. Hiding underneath a dirty staircase in upper New York City, Mario was approached by Sonic, who was on his way to the local cafe.

Sonic stared at Mario, who's woeful eyes and tears of desperation really got to him. Mario was a pure junkie now. He hasn't saved the Princess in five years, and he looked as if he was ready to off himself.

"Mario... get help, buddy, GET HELP" Sonic cried as he ran off, sobbing like a child.

Mario stood up, and threw his heroin stash aside. He had work to do. He was going to stop Bowser from running for mayor ONCE AND FOR ALL.

To be continued.

Adolf is back... BITCH!!!

You thought the Adolf series was dead? THINK AGAIN, MOTHER-LOVERS! After a retro fad of loving everything cool back in 2006, the Adolf series was brought back up on VH1's recent special 'I love the 00's: 2006'. The topic of the Adolf series came up, and everyone got excited! Hal Sparks made a hilarious joke about what sex toy Adolf would use to battle off evil enemies. Scott Ian said he owned every single Adolf movie ever! Weird Al recounts the time he did the song "Virus Alert" exclusively for the movie "Adolf Versus the Octopus!!!"! When Adolf series creator Alfred 'Underscore' Studley was asked about the possibility of Adolf returning, he replied "It's in the works, man, it's in the works!"

And now, fans, your prayers HAVE BEEN ANSWERED! Adolf is returning to your DVD players this Fall in "Adolf in the Land of DINOSAURS!" Join Adolf and his talking cat, Whiskers, as they battle T-Rexs, joke around with Triceratops, and bust out a mad rap with special guest Lil Wayne! Adolf has fallen in love... this time, with CAVEMAN PIZZA? Oh Adolf, the good times are rolling AGAIN! Hahaha.

Order 'Adolf in the Land of DINOSAURS!", out soon on DVD and Blu-Ray!

Oh, Sonic.

Your family died because you were too busy blowing Tails.

We need a Series page for this, stat.

Amazing.

I don't post at/read the Something Awful forums much,, but I was given a link to that thread a couple months back ago when it started up, and trust me, it's been in the bookmarks bar for a while. I still can't comprehend ANYONE making a... hundred or so paged erotic fanfic about Sonic like that. ANY type of Sonic fanfic, actually.

This Flash just makes it even more hilarious. The drawings really work because of how fucking goofy the entire thing really is. Glad you kept in the misprints too, that really brought out the... 'life' of the whole thing.

If I could subscribe to authors on NG, you'd be right on it. The most exciting Newgrounds series of 2007!!!

Beautiful and MAJESTIC piece of ART!!!

Indeed, Bader and Mr. Lizard have come up with a new promise to all their fans in the world of supreme Flash art. Badger's movie is a tear-jerking display of prower and haste, with symphonic tunes across the landscape. Lizard's look into the life of Ms. Tubgirl grants us the pleasure of looking into the life of the transgendered immigrant from Russia who is ashamed of America's policies in Iraq. A TRIUMPH, indeed!!! 94%

old dirty bastard live and uncut

Now THAT's what I call the beatdown of the year. I... can't stop watching it. And I keep cracking up when it shows all the other characters beating up that cat in the beginning.

Sterny DOOBY DOO!

God, that dog is so hilarious. He needs his own movie series!!!

Where the heck are my SCRAPPY STERNY DOO series?!!?

possibly-yodd responds:

Sterny doo might be a series.

Dissapointing.

It's been a while since I've seen a major sprite movie on NG, and after seeing this on the front page and the reviews around it, I decided to give this a spin. Well, I can say a lot of effort was put in and that it was cool to see some games that don't get enough Flashes on NG. (There needs to be more Donkey Kong shorts) Otherwise, what I got was a mixed bag.

Unlike some of the other low reviews, I actually enjoyed the visuals. What's wrong with mixing 8/16-bit sprites together? When they're done right, they look good. When they're done wrong, they look like shit, which is true. But in the case of this movie, the presenters did a very good job with it. I'll admit, some of the work did look sloppy and too hi-res, but not the majority of it.

For the movie itself, it needed to be presented in a different matter. Static as transitions = oldest thing in the book, even before Robot Chicken. This is the worst thing about sprite compilation Flashes and the whole static visual/audio part really disrupts the flow of these kinds of things. C'mon, people, do some experimenting with transitions or something, maybe even similar to Mr. Show! God, please, no more static transitions!

Humor itself, not to sound like a "THIS WASN'T FUNNY I'M THE KING OF COMEDY AND THIS ISN'T COMEDY HUR HURH HURH" jackass, but random sound byte from movie/music combined to sprites = not really funny anymore. I got a few chuckles out from the movie, like the Donkey Kong short (like i said we need more DK flashes ok plz thx) and the salmonella commercial, everything else I just watched and went "God, is this short over yet?". The Viagra parody was the worst offender; Got it the first time, when it came back the second time it went overboard, and not even funny as a prank on the audience.

Can't think of anything else about this movie, but overall, it had some strengths, but the weaknesses overpowered the movie entirely. Keep in mind the criticism if you do another one, though, as I think some changes could help it greatly.

CIA responds:

Thank you. We only used two sound clips in two skits. And we definitely wouldn't of used the tv static if it wasn't for the fact that its AN ACTUAL TV. Thanks again for the review.

It's unique, I'll give you that!

Definitely an ending I never saw coming. Everything about this movie had a perfect 'innocent' feel about it too, unlike every other Flash that tries the same thing but comes off too forced. There are some complaints about the visuals but I enjoy them, it really adds to the movie. I also have to give the sound a 10 because the music for the credits were great. Good movie.

some of your pass videos were crap but i liked this one for the space jam song and tha guy dancing but you should made him dance differently because he was not with the beat of the song and you kept makin it recycle through the same dance you could have u
